Watching the kites fly at the Teppe Maranjan, the oldest continually inhabited part of Kabul, next to the Mausoleum of Nadir Shah, was one of my intended sights for Kabul. From here steps lead downhill past more graves to the heavily damaged tomb of Sultan Mohammed Telai, Nadir Shah's great-great grandfather, visible in the next picture.. |
